Do QR codes expire?

A static QR code does not expire. The payload is stored in the printed pattern. Phones read the image. They do not call BrixQR.

A dynamic QR code usually stores a short URL that belongs to the generator company. That company forwards scanners to your real site. If they shut down, change the product, or you stop paying, the printed code can fail.

BrixQR only makes static codes. If your website URL or Wi-Fi password changes, you print a new code. That is the tradeoff for never depending on our servers.
